All colleges and universities in the U.S. accept either the SAT or ACT for admission purpose. The ACT is divided into four required sections: English (punctuation, grammar and usage, sentence structure and rhetoric skills); Mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II); Reading Comprehension and Science (interpretation, analysis, evaluation, reasoning, and problem solving skills required in general or introductory science courses).
ACT fee waivers are available to Juniors or Senior students who cannot afford the test fees. (if you receive a free/Reduce Lunch you qualify) See your Academic Coordinator or Cal SOAP Counselor for details. Pamphlets and materials describing the ACT are available in Student Services or the College and Career Center, or Online from the ACT website.
